**Exact steps for others to reproduce the error** I discussed this issue on the blenderartists forums, got a few replies, but ultimately no solution, other than another user confirming it as a bug The wireframe outline can be completely eliminated with a clip distance of 10cm. Manipulating the end distance reveals a wireframe outline while removing the material. Setting the clip distance to 10cm mostly eliminates the problem, though it can still be seen closer, however this is far too large a clip distance for me to work with. Here you can see x-ray is off, yet a fairly prominent x-ray view is visible around the rear quarter and wheel well areas of the model. If you manipulate the end value you can kind of get a "hybrid".I'll include photos.

You can make the effect better or worse by changing the View Clip start value. blend file, enter edit mode if not already there and have a look. It's incredibly distracting and confusing, and can't be avoided at all when viewing a mesh up close, with the clip distance turned down.Įxact steps for others to reproduce the error This can be manipulated with view min/max clip distances, but overall I hope this is a bug and not a "feature".
